I was born in Columbus, Georgia in 1942 and raised in a foster home. My foster mother was widowed, when her husband died when I was five.

I grew up doing the things that all boys do, both good and bad. I lost my mother in 1966. I found myself on my own for the first time. A friend and I left Columbus and headed west in his car to California. We stayed in San Diego for a week before heading up the coast to Monterey where we stayed for six months.

I returned to Georgia and moved to Atlanta for the next ten years. I have lived in Paterson, NJ and Philadelphia, PA.  In 1989, I once more headed west this time to Long Beach, CA for a year. Then in a life changing move, I went to Las Vegas, NV where I became a convention security guard and in 1998, I met the woman who would become my wife.

In 2002 at the age of 60, nearing retirement, I turned to writing. I wrote my first book “Murder at Republic” because I have always loved the B-westerns and movie serials and thought that a murder in a movie studio would be a good plot device. I followed up that book with another “Murder at Columbia.” Both books starred private detective Buck Ames a former movie stuntman and are set in the 1940’s.

Vampires have always intrigued me, but they have been portrayed as totally evil or as romance figures. In search of a different kind of vampire, I wrote “Legacy of Adrian Blackthorn, Vampire” a complex character if there ever was one. These three books can be ordered from amazon.com

Now retired, I am now able to write full time. My wife and I moved to Tucson, AZ in 2005 and now make our home there. I am a charter member of Wizards of Words.
